About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified CDM Surveyor to join our repairs team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. As a key player, you will be responsible for conducting building inspections, diagnosing issues, and devising repair solutions for customer property problems, particularly damp, condensation, and disrepair issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough building inspections to identify potential issues and develop repair solutions
- Collaborate with legal teams and contractors to ensure repairs adhere to regulations and mitigate liability from legal claims
- Compile work schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to provide excellent customer service
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices
Requirements
- Extensive building surveying experience, especially in disrepair and related legislation
- Relevant chartered professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, or similar)
- Proficiency in housing health and safety regulations and experience liaising with legal teams
- Strong project management and budget control skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
