Coker Engineering Ltd: Quality Manager Opportunity

About the Role

Coker Engineering Ltd, a precision engineering company in Taunton, South West England, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all quality-related functions within the business. Reporting to the directors, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring its continued development and effective application throughout all functions of the business and our extended supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QMS, adhering to industry standards
  • Manage and maintain ISO9001, AS9100D, and TS16949 systems and procedures
  • Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to maintain high-quality standards
  • Develop and implement effective QC methodology and monitoring systems
  • Reduce CoPQ through process improvements and system development

Requirements

  • Proven experience in QMS development and implementation
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and TS16949 systems and procedures
  • Direct experience with internal auditing best practices
  • Familiarity with precision inspection metrology and methodology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and work in a team environment
