Compensation: $60/hour C2C
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote (Preference for Eastern Standard Time)
Contract Duration: Temporary to Permanent (Independent candidates only)
Key Responsibilities:
- The team is in search of a Certified Epic Reporting Specialist with expertise in clinical domains for a long-term engagement, with potential for full-time employment based on performance.
- Certification in a clinical domain as an application analyst would be advantageous.
- The role involves creating advanced reports and visualizations using the Cogito suite of reporting tools, including Reporting Workbench reports, Radar Dashboards, SQL Extracts, and SlicerDicer queries within the Epic system.
- A strong understanding of the foundational elements of report writing is essential, including the ability to establish rules and properties using turbo charger packages and the build wizard, as well as executing backfills and understanding registries and metrics.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics and Generative AI in the Epic environment would be a plus, given the evolving role of AI in healthcare.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
Provide mentorship to junior Epic Report Writers and ensure that the service delivery team within a clinical domain comprehensively understands the complete suite of dashboards and reports.
Data Solution Development:
Collaborate with the service delivery team to develop reports and visualizations tailored to specific requests. Analyze business challenges and devise data-driven solutions. Engage in tasks related to system upgrades.
Data Governance and Quality:
Establish and uphold data governance standards to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency within the Epic EMR system. Implement quality controls and validation processes to ensure the reliability of data solutions. Work closely with compliance and security teams to adhere to regulatory requirements and data privacy policies.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Engage with key stakeholders, including clinicians, administrators, and executives, to understand their data requirements and provide insights on data solution development. Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure quality assurance. Build and maintain strong relationships with Epic representatives and user groups to stay updated on system enhancements and best practices. Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
Qualifications / Required Skills:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
Epic Certification in a clinical domain is required; certification as an Epic analyst is preferred.
Experience in analyzing, specifying, and writing reports to support various clinical and financial modules.
Proficient understanding of Reporting Workbench, Radar Dashboards, SlicerDicer, and other Epic reporting tools.
Ability to design SQL extracts as necessary.
Experience with Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including primary and foreign keys, joins, etc.
Comprehensive understanding of system build, end-user workflows, and usage patterns.
Possess both technical skills for report design and writing, as well as operational knowledge to meet report consumers' needs.
Familiarity with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and knowledge of SSAS Cubes and Business Objects Webi Reporting.
Understanding of registries, rules, properties, custom PAFs, build wizard, and backfills.
Collaborate with application analysts and report consumers to assess reporting needs.
Epic BID certifications in additional modules are preferred.
