Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team at Longrove Surgery. This role offers the opportunity to work between 4 to 6 sessions weekly, providing essential medical services to our patient population.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive remuneration of £11,300 per session
  • Coverage for medical indemnity and access to the NHS Pension Scheme
  • Flexible session options: 4, 5, or 6 sessions per week
  • No requirement for extended hours or weekend shifts, although opportunities may be available through our network
  • Support from a multidisciplinary team, including Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, and other allied health professionals
  • Access to advanced digital tools and technologies, such as AccuRX, Ardens, and iPlato
  • Modern, spacious facilities with ample parking
  • Regular clinical meetings with a collaborative team of GPs and partners

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a comprehensive range of medical services as outlined in the core PMS contract
  • Addressing the healthcare needs of patients, including those with undiagnosed conditions
  • Making independent, professional decisions regarding patient care
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with patients
  • Conducting screenings for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
  • Ensuring compliance with current prescribing policies
  • Maintaining clear and accurate patient records using clinical computer systems
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall management of the practice

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified General Practitioner
  • MRCGP certification
  • Completion of General Practitioner training (CCT)
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Eligibility for independent practice in the UK
  • Registration on the National Performers List
  • Appropriate medical indemnity coverage (MPS/MDU)
