We are in search of a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to become a vital part of their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Financial Management: Ensure precise and current financial records for a varied client base. Accurately document daily financial activities including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the creation of financial statements up to trial balance, guaranteeing all financial information is accurate and adheres to relevant accounting standards.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts to verify the accuracy of clients' financial statements.
  • VAT Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring adherence to HMRC regulations and deadlines.
  • Payroll Assistance: Support payroll processing for clients, ensuring compliance with current legislation and accuracy.
  • Management Reporting: Generate management reports and financial statements as needed, providing clients with essential insights for their business operations.
  • Accounting Software Expertise: Utilize accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel to efficiently manage clients' financial records.
  • Client Communication: Engage effectively with clients to resolve queries, provide updates, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Contribute to a friendly and cooperative team of bookkeepers, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in a bookkeeping capacity within an accountancy practice.
  • Qualifications: Part-qualified or qualified by experience, with study support available for AAT or ICB qualifications.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel, with excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
  • Proactive Attitude: A proactive approach to work, capable of managing multiple clients and deadlines efficiently.
