Lead Electrical Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities of the Lead Electrical Systems Engineer:

  • Electrical Systems Development: Execute various projects by developing electrical system designs, schematic diagrams, wiring layouts, calculations, and engineering documentation.
  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to junior engineers, cultivating a collaborative and growth-focused atmosphere.
  • Design Evaluation: Actively engage in design evaluations with clients and internal project teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Quality Control: Review technical drawings and documents produced by other engineers, ensuring adherence to established standards.
  • Client and Supplier Interaction: Collaborate with clients and suppliers to collect essential information, facilitating smooth project advancement.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project team members, contributing to the overall development of comprehensive design packages.
  • Field Surveys: Conduct on-site surveys as necessary to gather critical information for initiating the design process.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide on-site technical assistance, including troubleshooting, as required to ensure effective project execution.

Essential Functions of the Lead Electrical Systems Engineer:

  • Expertise in creating electrical system designs, schematics, and wiring layouts.
  • Proficient in performing electrical calculations and generating detailed engineering documentation.
  • Strong capability to mentor junior engineers.
  • Active involvement in design evaluations with clients and internal teams.
  • Thorough review of technical drawings for precision and compliance.
  • Effective collaboration with clients and suppliers for information gathering.
  • Clear and efficient communication with project teams.
  • Ability to conduct on-site surveys.
  • Capacity to provide on-site technical assistance and troubleshooting when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience of the Lead Electrical Systems Engineer:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical system design, ideally within the rail transport sector.
  • Proficiency in design software.
  • Experience in producing schematic and wiring diagrams.
  • A proven history of leading small teams.
