Job Title: Performance and Business Intelligence Analyst

Essex County Council is seeking a highly skilled Performance and Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Performance & Business Intelligence Unit, you will play a crucial role in turning data and management information into business-critical insights.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of business intelligence and data analysis. You will work closely with stakeholders, analysts, and developers to build a compelling picture that commands the attention of senior leaders. Your subject matter will predominantly relate to the Economy, Infrastructure, and Property sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver management information using software such as Excel and Power BI
  • Provide high-quality findings to the council's senior leaders
  • Work with colleagues to make clear recommendations on action that will directly improve the lives of local people
  • Embed an evidence and data-driven ethos that supports sustainable services and best practice
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a Business Intelligence function
  • Ability to communicate complex messages simply
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
