Environmental Consultant Opportunity

SLR Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant to join our team in Bristol or Manchester. As a key member of our Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance (EMPC) team, you will play a crucial role in providing regulatory compliance and environmental management services to our clients in the waste, industry, power, and energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare environmental permit applications and undertake audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to minimize environmental impacts.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to prepare detailed technical reports for submission to environmental regulators.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in environmental permitting to provide expert advice to clients.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in a field such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related discipline.
  • Basic knowledge of environmental permitting legislation and guidance.
  • Understanding of environmental issues and management of impacts.
