Job Overview

Commodity Structurer - Power and Gas Specialist

We are looking for a knowledgeable Commodity Structurer to assist in the management of Derivatives and Physical Transactions within the Power and Gas sectors. This role involves the pricing and execution of short to medium-term commercial agreements, optimizing gas working capital, structuring transactions, and creating innovative trades and structured offerings for our clientele.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Apply quantitative pricing methodologies for both physical agreements and derivatives, including options, swings, interconnectors, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Identify and execute opportunities for short to medium-term commercial agreements.
  • Formulate and implement trading strategies for flexible gas products.
  • Evaluate models to support transaction structuring and contractual agreements.
  • Enhance long-term gas offtake strategies.
  • Design new trades and structured offerings for clients, including financial institutions, utility companies, and industrial clients.
  • Present hedging frameworks and negotiate terms with counterparties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in structuring and executing derivatives and physical power and gas transactions.
  • Strong background in quantitative pricing.
  • Experience in developing trading strategies and optimizing gas working capital.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a track record in creating client-focused structured offerings.
