About the Role

This position sits within the Global Markets Division (MARK) of SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA. You will join the engineering department in London, which brings together the Equities, Fixed Income & Currencies, and Commodities structuring capabilities to provide investors with integrated multi-asset market solutions.

The investment strategies solutions team designs index solutions that are either tailor-made according to specific client guidelines or created by our expert teams when a strategic opportunity has been detected in the public markets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Research, develop and implement systematic strategies in an index format in cooperation with the relevant Business Lines, focusing on commodity underlyings.
  2. Maximize profitability (P&L MARK associated with products linked to systematic strategies).
  3. Ensure robustness and sustainability of the risk-return profile.
  4. Build portfolios of systematic strategies with specific investment objectives.
  5. Provide all necessary information to the governance team (ISP).
  6. Push the QIS offer proactively (internal communication, push to sales team, client meetings).
  7. Provide necessary technical support and training to sales, pricing, and trading teams.
Responsibilities
  1. Research, develop and implement new systematic strategies by backtesting new ideas primarily on commodities.
  2. Support EMEA sales in client calls and events related to systematic strategies and ensure smooth management of requests.
  3. Work closely with the origination team to coordinate the push and promote systematic strategies internally and externally.
  4. Maintain smooth communication with the ISP team (governance team) and ensure respect for processes.
  5. Contribute to supporting the Casablanca staff on systematic strategies maintenance subjects.
  6. Ensure fluid and transparent information flow between Paris, London, and New York on commercial and development projects.
Requirements

Education and Experience

Previous experience in quantitative investment strategies structuring.

Graduate from a top university with a Master's degree preferred.
