Global Payroll Associate

Gotham Technology Group is seeking a highly skilled Global Payroll Associate to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll data for multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local tax and labor laws.
- Prepare and review various accounting documents, schedules, and reports for audit and compliance purposes.
- Conduct accounts reconciliation and ensure accuracy of payroll data.
- Develop and maintain payroll calendars, ensuring timely communication to employees.
- Collaborate with payroll providers to ensure labor and tax obligations are fulfilled and compliant.
- Respond to employee queries and provide support regarding payroll and payslips.
- Prepare year-end reports and audit reports, as required.
- Ensure all payroll changes are supported with required documentation before processing.
- Work collaboratively with the Employee Support Centre to ensure payroll changes are entered before the payroll cut-off date.
- Prepare monthly payroll documentation for signing-off by the Global Payroll Manager.
- Maintain an exception log, documenting retro payments and exceptional adjustments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing global payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll systems, including Workday and other partners.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow initiatives through to completion.
- Experience in continuous process improvement techniques.
- Understanding of global payroll management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with external payroll providers and conduct internal process audits.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural communication differences.
- Commitment to continuous learning and growth in areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism, and social justice.
