Gotham Technology Group is seeking a skilled Global Payroll Associate to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data processing in our payroll system for multiple locations. Your expertise in global payroll management principles and experience with payroll systems like Workday will be invaluable in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll data for designated locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax and standards.
- Prepare accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries for audit and compliance purposes.
- Conduct accounts reconciliation and support for locations under your purview.
- Adhere to the payroll calendar for designated locations and communicate it to employees.
- Work with payroll providers to ensure labour and tax obligations are fulfilled and compliant.
- Deliver payroll for designated locations efficiently and effectively, meeting service level agreements.
- Respond to employee queries and provide assistance with payroll/payslips within agreed timelines.
- Prepare year-end reports and audit reports as required, working with payroll providers.
- Ensure all payroll changes are supported with required documentation before processing.
- Collaborate with the Employee Support Centre to ensure payroll changes are entered before the payroll cut-off date.
- Prepare monthly payroll documentation for signing-off by the Global Payroll Manager, highlighting changes.
- Maintain an exception log, documenting retro payments and exceptional adjustments made to payroll.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in managing global payroll processing.
- Experience with payroll systems like Workday and partners, Onesource Virtual, Ceridian, Outsourced Payroll, EY Operate, etc.
- Ability to manage work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow initiatives through to completion with strict deadlines.
- Some experience in continuous process improvement techniques.
- Understanding of global payroll management principles.
- Good understanding of Workday payroll and other systems.
- Ability to work with external payroll providers and conduct internal process audits.
- Good understanding of process improvement techniques.
- Ability to analyze big data sets and draw insights to inform management.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous learning and growth in areas of diversity, equity, inclusion, antiracism, and social justice.
