Job Description

Gotham Technology Group is seeking a skilled Global Payroll Associate to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate data is processed in the provider's payroll processing system for multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Process payroll data for designated locations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax and standards.
  2. Prepare various accounting papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries for audit and compliance for designated locations.
  3. Conduct accounts reconciliation with support for locations under purview.
  4. Adhere to the payroll calendar for designated locations and communicate it to employees.
  5. Work with the payroll provider to ensure labour and tax obligations are fulfilled and compliant.
  6. Deliver payroll for designated locations efficiently and effectively, meeting service level agreements.
  7. Respond to employee queries and help regarding payroll/payslips for designated locations within agreed service level timelines.
  8. Prepare year-end reports and audit reports, as required, with the payroll provider.
  9. Ensure all payroll changes are supported with required documentation before being processed by the payroll provider.
  10. Collaborate with the Employee Support Centre to ensure payroll changes are entered before the payroll cut-off date and supporting documentation is fulfilled.
  11. Prepare monthly payroll documentation for signing-off by the Global Payroll Manager, highlighting changes.
  12. Maintain the exception log, documenting retro payments and exceptional adjustments made to payroll to accommodate special payments not aligned with guidelines.

Qualifications

  1. Experience successfully managing global payroll processing.
  2. Experience with payroll systems like Workday and partners, Onesource Virtual, Ceridian, Outsourced Payroll, EY Operate, etc.
  3. Ability to manage work with efficiency in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot, and follow initiatives through to completion, with strict deadlines and without loss of attention to detail, budget, and reporting.
  4. Some experience in continuous process improvement techniques.
  5. Understanding of global payroll management principles.
  6. Good understanding of Workday payroll and other systems.
  7. Ability to work and manage with external payroll providers.
  8. Ability to conduct internal process audits, taking corrective actions.
  9. Good understanding of process improvement techniques.
  10. Ability to analyze big data sets and draw insights to inform management.
  11. Strong written, verbal, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; exercise good listening and communication skills with sensitivity to cultural communication differences.
