About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Attendance Officer to join our thriving team at The Astrea Academy Trust. This is a new role within our pastoral team, and is a vital link to ensure that students attend in order to succeed.

This is an ideal position for someone who is a team player, has a positive attitude and understands the importance of providing a safe learning environment. The successful candidate will need to be able to show an unrelenting focus on doing what is in the best interests of every student.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students in achieving their academic potential by ensuring regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents and carers to identify and address any barriers to attendance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve attendance and engagement.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, including mentoring and guidance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to student wellbeing.
