£44,000 - £49,000 (Dependent on expertise and experience)
Eligibility:
Candidates must be sole British citizens due to the necessity of obtaining SC Clearance for sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Development of software utilized in the operation of simulation environments.
2. Ownership of requirements gathering, design, implementation, system integration, and testing, ensuring adherence to timelines and estimates.
3. Progress reporting and constructive feedback provision to team members and leadership.
4. Creation of comprehensive technical documentation.
5. Design of innovative technical solutions, incorporating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) hardware and software.
6. Collaboration with clients to support delivered systems and troubleshoot issues.
7. Technical oversight of assigned tasks.
8. Enhancement of development methodologies.
9. Identification and development of new business opportunities within the department and broader Test & Evaluation sector.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Proficiency in programming languages, particularly C/C++.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools.

Desirable:
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience in the Avionics or Mission Systems domain.
- Proficient in using Jira for software task management.
- Understanding of Simulation Interoperability standards (HLA/DIS/Link16).
