Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team at Raisby Quarry. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sites' maintenance plan and improving equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and operations teams by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment.
  • Receive work instructions for routine planned and corrective maintenance, and carry out duties as written or directed.
  • Work within a team or singly as required, ensuring all activities are carried out within company requirements of safety, environment, and quality.
  • Carry out planned, preventive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to production plant and equipment, including removing, repairing, and reassembling conveyors, rollers, and side skirts.
  • Have a good understanding of health, safety, and environmental impacts of the role, as well as mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment.
  • Use welding and burning for fabrication and maintenance, and be experienced in the use of workshop equipment.
  • Have competency in basic multi-skilling and mechanical fault finding.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile equipment.
