Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team at Raisby Quarry. As a Fitter, you will play a critical role in supporting our maintenance plan and improving equipment reliability by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and operations teams by carrying out planned and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment as directed by your team leader or managers.
  • Receive work instructions for routine planned and corrective maintenance and carry out duties as written or directed.
  • Work within a team or singly as required by your immediate person in charge, ensuring all activities are carried out within company requirements of safety, environment, and quality.
  • Carry out planned, preventive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to production plant and equipment, including removing, repairing, and reassembling conveyors, rollers, and side skirts.
  • Have a good understanding of health, safety, and environmental impacts of the role and experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment.
  • Use welding and burning for fabrication and maintenance, and be experienced in the use of workshop equipment.
  • Competent in basic multi-skilling and mechanical fault finding.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile.
