Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team at Raisby Quarry. As a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our maintenance plan and improving equipment reliability by carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and operations teams by carrying out planned and corrective maintenance on plant and equipment as directed by your team leader or managers.
  • Receive work instructions for routine planned and corrective maintenance and carry out duties as written or directed.
  • Work within a team or singly as required by your immediate person in charge, ensuring all activities are carried out within company requirements of safety, environment, and quality.
  • Carry out planned, preventive, and reactive mechanical maintenance to production plant and equipment, including removing, repairing, and reassembling conveyors, rollers, and side skirts.
  • Have a good understanding of health, safety, and environmental impacts of the role and experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance of equipment, including conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, etc.
  • Use welding and burning for fabrication and maintenance, and be experienced in the use of workshop equipment, mechanical fault finding, and basic multi-skilling.
Requirements
  • Completed a recognized mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • Essential experience working on heavy plant, fixed, and/or mobile.
