Senior Legal Project Analyst – Fixed Term Contract

Location: Flexible

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (Depending on location and experience)

About the Company:

We are excited to announce a newly established position for a Senior Legal Project Analyst at a prominent law firm. This role will involve close collaboration with various practice groups. With a strong presence in the UK, European, and Australasian markets, the firm is renowned for its exceptional professional services and innovative solutions. The organization is experiencing significant growth and has launched a specialized division focused on delivering comprehensive project management, pricing, and automated solutions to large corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of legal project management, providing support to Legal Project Managers with daily project tasks.
  • Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of matter budgets, actively monitoring budget performance and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Support the planning, scoping, and reporting phases of projects.
  • Coordinate regular project management meetings and calls.
  • Draft compelling pitch materials for Legal Project Managers for client and panel submissions.
  • Respond to client inquiries independently and proactively follow up.
  • Lead internal meetings to demonstrate new tools and showcase effective legal project management processes.
  • Conduct research on the legal project management sector and share relevant articles and data.
  • Oversee financial reporting processes, utilizing tools such as Excel and PowerBI to analyze and report data against established metrics.
  • Deliver training sessions and demonstrations to lawyers, PAs, and other business service teams on process and technology adoption.
  • Drive legal process design initiatives by creating process maps and supporting managed service pilots.

Skills & Attributes:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with the financial framework of a law firm, including key performance indicators.
  • Experience with Financial Practice Management Systems (e.g., Elite or Aderant Expert) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in PowerBI or similar tools for analysis and reporting.
  • Confidence in training and strong presentation abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff members.
