Role Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst, Corporate Private Credit to contribute to our team that manages a significant volume of investment opportunities and transactions across various European markets.

As a Senior Investment Analyst, your role will involve originating, analyzing, executing, and overseeing illiquid private credit investments for Legal & General Asset Management, with a focus on corporate sector issuers, including housing associations and educational institutions.

Key Duties:

  • Evaluating new investment prospects based on their suitability and potential value for Legal & General Asset Management client funds through comprehensive investment analysis and sector dynamics understanding.
  • Assisting in the sourcing and execution of investment opportunities in Corporate Debt that align with the needs of Legal & General Asset Management clients.
  • Collaborating with the team to develop investment strategies for the sector, particularly in identifying suitable transactions and sub-sectors for potential investment.
  • Fostering relationships internally and with market participants to access a wide array of opportunities, and working with team members to filter these for client recommendations.
  • Supporting the management of essential internal and external relationships with counterparties and borrowers.
  • Contributing to the due diligence, credit assessment, and investment paper submissions to the Private Credit Investment Committee and other necessary governance bodies, including presenting findings when appropriate.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and execution of transactions to meet client requirements and achieve optimal value.
  • Helping to integrate ESG methodologies into the investment evaluation and management processes.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Robust financial analysis and transaction capabilities, with relevant experience in credit structuring, rating methodologies, or financial advisory.
  • Knowledge and experience in credit risk, ideally from a banking or financial institution background.
  • A flexible and results-driven mindset, as our team is dynamic and growing, requiring adaptability to various initiatives and investment opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a background in preparing and presenting information effectively.
  • Preferably, prior experience in private credit investments.
  • A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work closely with team members and independently as needed.
  • A partnership-oriented approach to engaging with investment management clients and market participants.
