Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of the Pennine Initial Response Service (IRS), based at Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn.

Main Duties:

* Provide medical leadership within the IRS Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
* Work with medical and non-medical colleagues as part of MDT working
* Be the first point of contact for GPs for both crisis and non-emergency mental health referrals
* Act as the gateway service to those who may require access to specialist mental health services

Requirements:

* Full GMC registration and Licence to Practise
* On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months
* Section 12 approved or within 3 months
* AC status or within 3 months
