Job Title: Loss Prevention Officer

At Next, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Loss Prevention team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our warehouse operations.

About the Role:

The Loss Prevention Officer will be responsible for monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, conducting searches of people and vehicles, and deterring acts of theft to prevent loss of stock. You will also be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, and will be responsible for efficiently communicating any security risks and incidents to your Loss Prevention Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems to ensure the safety and security of our warehouse operations
  • Conduct searches of people and vehicles to deter acts of theft and prevent loss of stock
  • Be the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, and provide excellent customer service
  • Communicate any security risks and incidents to your Loss Prevention Manager in a timely and efficient manner
About You:

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual who is able to work well in a team environment. You will have excellent communication skills, a drive to build and maintain great working relationships with visitors, management, and employees. You will also demonstrate a can-do attitude and your initiative in this fast-paced warehouse environment.

Requirements:
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, and Google suites
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with potentially difficult situations involving conflict
  • Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate required
