Role Summary:

We are in search of a Quality Assurance and Practice Supervisor to join our Supported Living team. This role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism across multiple residences in the Lowestoft area. Collaborating closely with the Director and Service Manager, you will ensure compliance with relevant social care quality standards, including those set by CQC and local authorities, as well as Leading Lives' internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular compliance and quality audits, including spot checks.
  • Maintain and update care documentation, medication records, and health & safety files, providing recommendations as necessary.
  • Ensure that customer service needs align with the company’s customer charter.
  • Adhere to GDPR guidelines, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
  • Oversee local auditing of GDPR practices to meet established standards.
  • Draft and revise manual handling risk assessments.
  • Foster effective communication with the management team to build positive relationships.
  • Create personal risk assessments for customer support plans.
  • Mentor team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assess customer needs and facilitate discussions with families.

The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and high standards of quality. You will be expected to work collaboratively with operational teams to deliver exceptional support. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in onboarding new staff, ensuring they receive a comprehensive and positive induction experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a care setting, particularly with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to care.
  • Experience in quality assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with GDPR regulations and their application in social care.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
