Job Description:

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing sound, risk-based expert HR advice and coaching/support to line managers in all aspects of employment, including terms and conditions of service and employee relations matters.

Key duties will include:

  • Supporting managers with effective sickness absence management
  • Providing guidance on disciplinary issues
  • Building effective working relationships with managers
  • Communicating professionally and appropriately with people at all levels of the organisation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent level qualification in a human resources subject or equivalent level of HR knowledge gained through training and experience to degree level
  • Associate Membership of CIPD
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the content and requirements of HR issues facing the NHS
  • Knowledge of sickness absence management processes
  • Knowledge of disciplinary processes
