Teaching Opportunity in Applied Cognitive Psychology

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Associate Lecturer to join our team in the School of Psychological Sciences at Birkbeck University of London.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to teach and contribute to the development of our Certificate of Higher Education and Accelerated Foundation Year programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, teaching, and assessing students on the Understanding Applied Cognitive Psychology module.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to students on the Understanding Applied Cognitive Psychology module.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the module's content and pedagogy.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement teaching and learning strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the programme's curriculum and assessment framework.
  • Engage with students, providing support and guidance to ensure their academic success.
Requirements
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Relevant teaching experience, preferably in the Higher Education sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Proficient in using IT systems, including Moodle.
Desirable
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant area.
  • Teaching qualification.
