We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Operations Manager to join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines across our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the pharmacy team to deliver high-quality patient care and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes and reduce medication errors.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports to inform decision-making and improve service delivery.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of pharmacy staff.
- BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences (NVQ Pharmacy services Level 3) or equivalent.
- CPPE or equivalent ACPT qualification.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Medicines Management qualification or equivalent.
- Significant post-qualification hospital pharmacy experience.
- Broad technical pharmaceutical knowledge relating to the promotion of high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Experience of writing SOPs.
- Previous assessable experience/understanding of JAC Pharmacy Computer System (or equivalent).
- Experience of training and supervision.
- Experience of project management.
- Evidence of work in an operational management capacity.
- Experience of medicines reconciliation.
This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including evenings and weekends.
