Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' occupational needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and effective discharge planning.
  • Provide expert occupational therapy interventions to patients with complex conditions, including post-operative orthopaedic surgery, decreased mobility, and exacerbation of long-term conditions.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, including students, to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
  • Participate in clinical governance activities, including quality improvement initiatives and audit projects, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings, with a focus on complex care.
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to prioritize and organize workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.
