Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Gü Desserts. As a key member of our factory operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in all aspects of our production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical compliance in all aspects of the factory, ensuring adherence to our FSQM System.
- Manage product quality assurance and control, ensuring all products meet food safety, quality, and legal standards.
- Lead compliance review meetings and report on emerging trends to identify areas of risk.
- Develop clear action plans to drive excellence, addressing customer complaints, internal and external NCRs, pest control, and GMP audit results.
- Collaborate with Shift Production Managers and Maintenance Manager to resolve daily issues, developing action plans and maintaining effective communication channels.
- Create development plans for Process Controllers, providing leadership and direction to support succession planning and team engagement.
- Oversee Critical Control Points (CCPs) to ensure food safety is maintained at all times.
- Manage and conduct GMP audits with Process Controllers, striving for best practice requirements.
Requirements
- Full Clean Driving Licence required.
- Strong technical background and experience in a factory-facing Quality Manager role.
- Experience in leading and supervising a small team.
- Experience in a chilled food manufacturing environment is preferable.
- A strong understanding of BRC, HACCP, and other food quality standards.
- Auditing experience, both internal and external.
- Resilience, proactive, and assertive, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions.
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and SAP.
- Good supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to direct personnel and discipline fairly.
