Principal Engineer, Offshore Structures

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, Offshore Structures to lead their offshore design team and provide expert guidance on structural analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Set up internal workflows for assigned projects, plan team activities, and ensure timely delivery.
- Structural Analysis: Execute structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides, and study the best technical solutions for offshore structures.
- Documentation Review: Review technical documentation and analyses produced by the team before issuance.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with immediate and wider teams, and liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
- Resource Management: Work with planners and project management to organize the project offshore resources' workload and deliver the scope within the schedule.
- Technical Expertise: Strong experience in analyses and design of offshore structures, in accordance with ISO1900 series, API RP2A, and AISC code.
- Design and Analysis: Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures, and define and design foundation systems.
- Problem-Solving: Experience in re-design and assessment of brownfield structures, life extension, reliability analyses, and ability to make critical choices.
- Leadership: Capacity to lead and direct a team of structural engineers, and ability to interface with other discipline PDL.
- Communication: Ability to convey technical information between project management and stakeholders.
- Travel: Availability to travel abroad for short and long-term assignments.
- Technical Tools: Experience with computer tools relevant to perform the above activities, and good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office package, AUTOCAD, and similar.
- Education: Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline such as Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (with focus on structures).
