Job Description

Our client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer, Offshore Structures to lead their offshore design team and provide expert guidance on structural analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Set up internal workflows for assigned projects, plan team activities, and ensure timely delivery.
  2. Structural Analysis: Execute structural analysis for offshore substructures and topsides, and study the best technical solutions for offshore structures.
  3. Documentation Review: Review technical documentation and analyses produced by the team before issuance.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with immediate and wider teams, and liaise with other disciplines during project execution.
  5. Resource Management: Work with planners and project management to organize the project offshore resources' workload and deliver the scope within the schedule.
Requirements
  1. Strong Technical Background: Strong experience in analyses and design of offshore structures, in accordance with ISO1900 series, API RP2A, AISC code.
  2. Analysis and Design: Ability to create and verify FEM models of fixed offshore structures, and define and design foundation systems.
  3. Problem-Solving: Experience in re-design and assessment of brownfield structures, life extension, reliability analyses, and a strong attitude towards problem-solving.
  4. Leadership: Capacity to lead and direct a team of structural engineers, and interface with other discipline PDL in relation to the assigned project.
  5. Communication: Ability to convey technical information between project management and stakeholders.
  6. Travel: Availability to travel abroad, both short and long term.
  7. Technical Tools: Experience with computer tools relevant to perform the above activities, and good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office package, AUTOCAD, and similar.
Qualifications
  1. Engineering Degree: Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering (with focus on structures).
