Full Time, Norland Trained

Amersham, United Kingdom Harmony at Home Buckinghamshire & Hertfordshire Full time

A fabulous opportunity for a live-out, sole-charge nanny has become available in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The most important aspect for this family is finding someone who fits in with them, becoming a part of their family dynamic while keeping their children happy, stimulated, and safe. They are looking for a long-term commitment.

You will be responsible for the sole care of a little boy aged 2½ years and his sister aged eight months. The hours will be from 07:30 to 18:30, Monday to Friday. The little boy attends nursery on several mornings each week.

The family is currently living in a rental property locally, while their new house undergoes extensive renovation.

This family is professional, extremely friendly, and active in sports and other activities when time allows. They enjoy travel, theatre, entertaining, and currently, Paw Patrol Both parents have jobs in the city, with occasional work from home.

A nanny who is interested in child development is important to the parents. They are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, with lots of relevant and stimulating indoor activities (games, reading, jigsaws, crafts, imaginary play, etc.), mixed with plenty of outdoor play and walks to the park. Getting outside for fresh air is a high priority for this family. The little boy loves kicking a ball around.

They are happy for you to take the children to groups, play dates and classes, allowing them to interact with other children, ensuring their happiness and safety at all times.

While keeping the children happy and content is the top priority, you will also be responsible for their general care, keeping all areas used during the day clean and tidy (kitchen, children’s bedrooms, playroom, etc.), and helping with laundry. You will also be responsible for providing the children with healthy and nutritious meals and snacks each day, preferably home-cooked. The little boy is a good eater and potty trained, but experience with weaning and potty training for the baby is a must.

You must be a careful and confident driver with a clean licence. A fully insured duty car is available.

There is the opportunity for occasional additional babysitting and weekend work. Any additional hours would be mutually agreed upon and paid as overtime. There is also the possibility for you to travel on holiday with the family.

If you are a loving, friendly nanny who likes to work hard, while having fun in an informal and relaxed setting, this is a truly wonderful role and would suit someone who is happy to make a long-term commitment.
