**About the new equalities research centre**:
The new Centre for Equalities in Uniformed Public Services is a £11.3 million investment in uniformed public services research by UKRI and represents a substantial increase in ARU’s research capacity. Key objectives of the new Centre include producing excellent underpinning research into cultural transformation in uniformed public services, and adopting a strongly collaborative approach with local, regional, and national uniformed public services organisations to tacking issues around equality, diversity, and inclusion. The new Centre brings together the strengths of two of ARU’s existing outstanding Research Institutes (the Veterans and Families Institute (VFI) and the Policing Institute for the Eastern Region (PIER)).
**About the Role**:
The Project Manager will be responsible for the effective delivery of research knowledge exchange and innovation projects within the centre but also working closely with the leadership and staff of our new Centre. The role-holder will help to manage, support and communicate with all major project stakeholders. The new Centre will have a strongly collaborative approach with local, regional, and national uniformed public services organisations to tackle issues around equality, diversity, and inclusion. This role will also include work to support both PIER and the VFI.
With degree or part qualified in a relevant professional qualification at degree level appropriate to the role or demonstrable appropriate level of experience and evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the role, you will need experience of management of administrative processes, project management and servicing committees.
