1Support the Professional Standards Manager to develop, implement and manage the SPSC quality assurance framework to ensure the attainment, audit and assurance of all standards relating to learning and development in the Scottish Prison Service (SPS).

Support the Professional Standards Manager to develop quality assurance standards that allow the SPS to effectively partner with Further and Higher Education partners in the co-design and co-delivery of any professional qualifications.

Manage, audit and evaluate internal QA systems in line with internal and external Frameworks for Quality Assurance in Training and Education across all SPSC owned training and development activities, and relevant externally accredited programs.

Oversee quality and standards service provision and processes to ensure there is confidence that the training will deliver the expected results, to the expected levels of quality in line with any SPS or industry standards, or any legal, regulatory or licensing requirements. To also ensure continuous improvement, best value and support SCQF credit rating and accreditation/validation of educational products.

Manage SPSC as an accredited SVQ centre.
- Responsibilities- 1- Develop, implement, integrate and maintain quality assurance systems, processes and tools for learning and development within SPSC, including streamlining the current QA model and ensuring ongoing compliance with quality and education sector requirements.- 1- Design and undertake quality assurance activities for programmes of learning and assessment developed and delivered by SPS College or external providers, including the creation of assurance plans, and the preparation of reports and presentations to communicate outcomes of quality activities.- 1- Provide expert quality assurance and standards advice and consultancy to SPS College Theme Leads and their teams in the development and/or review of quality assurance activities.- 1- Design and implement an audit framework for SPSC to ensure quality within our learning programs and that our training is in line with any SPS or industry standards, or any legal, regulatory or licensing requirements. Undertake routine audits of training delivery, programme management and learner assessment. Analyse audit findings, investigate areas of non-conformance and develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions- 1- Manage the processes which support SPSC as an SCQF credit rating body status under the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), and SQA Approved Centre Status, and awarding of credit/qualifications on behalf thereof.- 1- Undertake required Credit and Levelling activity and integrate and improve where appropriate CRB standards and the SCQF framework into systems and processes across the full range of learning and development activities in SPSC.**Person Specification**- Qualification Requirements- 1- Educated to HNC/SCQF Level 7. Working knowledge of quality assurance practice and standards in learning and teaching

Working knowledge of all areas of the training cycle and of learning validation and assessment to recognised education sector standards, including SCQF.
- 1**Writing guidance/procedures and drafting reports**

Experience of writing guidance and/or procedures and of drafting formal reports
- 1**Audit**

Data analysis and evaluation skills; ability to build and undertake audit processes and extract and interpret complex information and produce and present credible conclusions.
