As the Payroll and Process Specialist your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely benefit and Payroll administration to all UK entities. You will act as the payroll expert and specialist contact for all HR systems and payroll issues as well as the process expert to understand the scope of new changes and subsequent impact on current processes.
You will advise on viability, potential issues and impacts of process changes, ensuring the department is represented in all projects and that any new processes are fully assessed for feasibility and implemented in the appropriate way.
Processing payroll activities with a high degree of specialism, you will perform problem analysis and resolution where required and ensure that all payroll activities are carried out as per business requirements, meeting all deadlines
Your remit will include preparing all necessary documentation required by auditors and arranging onsite audit visits. From this you will follow up on queries and resulting audit points to bring them to a satisfactory close and ensure adherence to process and accuracy of data in accordance with BMW Group and legislative guidelines.
You will create a suite of Payroll controls which cover accuracy, compliance and company policy, documenting control processes to be followed and training the team accordingly.
Utilisation of HR IT Systems to maximise the ability to automate processes where appropriate and managing employee requests in line with process and service delivery.
Implementing change management, you will deliver and roll out all new projects or processes across the team and drive consistency and standardisation within UK processes to simplify delivery.

**Qualifications**:
Experience of UK or International Payroll in a fast-paced environment, ideally with SAP knowledge required.
Excellent understanding of the intricate details of a payroll process and all the downstream impacts is essential.
Previous experience working in an international environment, driving process change and standardisation
Capability to understand and request business changes to IT as well as testing and implementing such changes and ensuring relevant documentation and training is provided.
Proven ability to anticipate and manage implications of Payroll impacting changes with a focus on controls and compliance preferred.
