The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative and general support to the Human Resources Team, as well as provide support to various Human Resources related projects, events and reporting requests/requirements.

**Essential Functions**
- Provide proactive support to benefits processing, including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, employee updates and changes, beneficiaries and disability and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a primary contact for the benefits broker, plan vendors and third-party administrators.?
- Gather data and conduct the auditing and processing of monthly billings and for all group plans.
- Provide support in the effective communication of benefit plans and programs to ensure positive employee experience and understanding.
- Provide proactive support in the documentation and maintenance of administrative procedures (SOP’s) for benefits processes.?
- Attend employee information presentations and other related meetings to help guide enrollment, field employee benefit questions and requests.
- Assist with preparation and participate in all benefit audits.?? Assist with filing of federal and state forms, materials for plan audits, and tax and audit requirements.
- Research and attend trainings in the benefits and compliance areas offered by our broker and carriers.
- General intake of HR related employee requests, questions, etc. and field appropriately
- Completes all department filing in a timely manner with accuracy. Assist in auditing of existing HR files and paperwork.
- Support the onboarding process of new hires relative to pre-employment paperwork, background checks, employee data entry and clearance of all hires, especially at times of highest volumes April through July.
- Assist with the recruiting function as needed.
- Complete verifications of employment as required.
- Responsible for answering the switchboard in the Association office.
- Assists HR Team with other projects as assigned.
- Maintain professional manner and the YMCA Character Development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Works in harmony and cooperation with staff and volunteers to promote team spirit.

Required Certifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent

**Salary**: £28,971.70-£33,046.39 per year
