As the National Compliance Officer, you play a pivotal role as the primary liaison for compliance matters at both the national and local levels within Kuehne+Nagel.
- ** Your Role **:Your responsibilities encompass overseeing the implementation, monitoring, and ongoing enhancement of a robust compliance program, in alignment with KN's group-wide compliance program. This includes ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures, including but not limited to KN's esteemed Code of Conduct.
- ** Your Responsibilities**:

- Ensure effective implementation, coordination, and oversight of key compliance activities, collaborating with relevant departments as necessary.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with the Regional Compliance Officer and business management to deliver comprehensive training programs that meet corporate compliance standards for all relevant employees.
- Independently report ongoing compliance progress to the Regional Compliance Officer, separate from local and business management. Ensure compliance within the entity/business unit.
- Oversee, facilitate, and report on compliance remediation activities as required. Prepare compliance performance reports for the Regional Compliance Officer and local/business unit leaders.
- Conduct thorough compliance risk assessments for the local/business unit area, analyse issues and trends, and provide comprehensive reports to the Regional Compliance Officer.
- Support the execution of compliance reviews and audits on the national/local level to ensure the achievement of compliance objectives.
- Engage in discussions with business management and employees regarding emerging compliance issues.

**Your Skills and Experiences**:

- Advanced degree in law, business management (MBA) or extensive working experience in a compliance function at a global company of similar size
- Expert knowledge of the US FCPA, UK Bribery Act and the OECD convention on combating bribery and other applicable anti-bribery laws, regulations and standards, including the Federal Sentencing Guidelines
- Solid business experience and sufficient stature within the organization to exert influence and credibility
- Familiarity with KN's business practices and procedures or experience from similar business environment
- Leadership skills to ensure that the required measures are applied consistently within the business areas
- Strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills
