**Job summary**:
Two new vacancies have been created within the Medical Workforce Team - this essential team support the planning, monitoring and coordination of medical staffing matters across the Trust. As this department continues to grown we have recognised that our administration function also has too.

You will join a wider team of 15 colleagues you will provide administration support to include:

- Supporting Medicine or Surgical Rota Leads
- Sickness reporting for all junior doctors
- Locum bookings management

The workload will be varied and in parts challenging, however being able to multitask in an efficient manner whilst maintaining a caring and helpful attitude underpins everything you do.

You will be passionate about service delivery and will want to make difference to the colleagues within the Trust and communities we live and work in. You will mirror our Trust values of being Kind, Connected and Bold.

Success in this role will see you transfer your existing administration skills of communication, organisation and IT and develop your knowledge as your career with UHB grows.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To exercise initiative and judgement based on acquired knowledge and experience when dealing with enquiries.
- Receiving and dealing with telephone enquiries as appropriate.
- To maintain diaries as required.
- Input and look up data on Trust IT systems in accordance with Trust policy.
- Analyse and extract complex data sets from a number of different sources.
- To ensure post is opened daily and dealt with accordingly.
- Arrange meetings and appointments as necessary.
- To assist colleagues as directed by the Supervisor/Line Manager in times of pressure of work.
- Co-operate in the introduction of new technology and new working practices to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Photocopying, Scanning and filing letters and documents as required.

- Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C)
- RSA level II or equivalent experience
- Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment

**Experience**:

- Experience of dealing with the Public/Customer service experience
- Experience of working with a range of Microsoft Office packages (eg. Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience of using Trust IT systems
