Colchester, United Kingdom Age Well East Full time

**Volunteer Mental Wellbeing Navigator** **[Colchester**]

Are you compassionate and want to make a difference in your local community?

At Age Well East, we support individuals to become happier and healthier. A key element of this role is to provide support to people living with mental wellbeing needs.

The role of **Volunteer Mental Wellbeing Navigator** is to provide clients with one-to-one support and navigation towards clubs, groups and activities within the community or towards specialist wellbeing assistance such as therapeutic services. The role will require a mixture of telephone and face-to-face contact. We support individuals with a range of needs which could include experiences of isolation, depression and anxiety as well as feeling low, having worries about the future or experiencing low confidence and self-esteem.

For this volunteer role, we are looking for an individual who has experience of or training in mental health and wellbeing support; counselling; psychotherapy; psychology; helpline support; social work; education; healthcare or more general support work or have lived through personal circumstances which you feel have given a foundation from which to support others.

Because we work with vulnerable adults, we will carry out DBS and reference checks and provide supportive onboarding training.

We have established an excellent reputation within our local community and our organisational values are: Community, Trust, Compassion, Courage, and Excellence. This is because we feel our volunteers and clients deserve the very best support.
