If so, we are looking for you

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a building officer to join our operational estates team. Providing day to day operational management of the office and ensuring the smooth operational function of the building. The role will include:

- Overseeing the work of contractors on site
- Being a first point of contact for staff, stakeholders, and partnership agencies who access our buildings.
- Completing risk assessments and audits to a high standard
- Managing all aspects of fire safety within the premises
- Being responsible for supervising, motivating and developing our front of house team for directly delivered services, i.e. reception, mailroom operatives and security staff on site ensuring a high level of customer service.

In addition to being responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a specified building; you will also hold responsibility for ensuring office safety, functionality and efficiency whilst delivering excellent customer service to our partnership agencies, members of public that attend our estate and KCC staff. Ensuring a high standard of office facilities and environment is provided to staff members so they have the right tools and space to be able to carry out their service for the Council within the building.
