**The role**

In this newly-created role, as the IoD's Sponsorship Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sponsorship strategy in England, working in close collaboration with our Events, Commercial, Marketing Communications and Professional Development teams.

Reporting into the Events & Sponsorship Lead, you will create and build significant relationships from new and existing sponsors, maximising revenue opportunities for the Institute.

This role can be based remotely across England, or it can be based out of our London office, some travel will be required.

**What you'll be doing**

**Key duties**

Lead and manage all aspects of sponsor enquiries, including events, digital, and bespoke marketing campaigns.
Manage relationships with prospective sponsors, coordinating all lines of enquiry, overseeing contract negotiation, and on-boarding; owning relationship with confirmed clients and ensuring commitment to the brief.
Lead on the effective reporting and analysis of sponsorship to guide future planning.
Identify new possible sponsorship streams and opportunities; attending exposition events where relevant; working with the wider IoD community, including regional/branch committees and CSS teams to identify sponsor opportunities and maximise revenue.

**General responsibilities**

Input and maintain up-to-date CRM and database records, ensuring all sponsorship activity is correctly logged and tracked via the database to achieve targets and membership transparency.
Undertake an in-depth review and update to existing sponsorship contracts in consultation with IoD legal team.
Maintain an up-to-date and in-depth knowledge of the IoD's value proposition and all related activities, products, and services.

**Qualifications & experience**

Proven ability to work across all levels, with experience in building strong relationships as part of a national brand.
Proven experience of project management, setting and managing budgets, tracking ROI/KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
Experience of acting in accordance with the IoD's key values, Teamwork, Leadership, Agility and Respect.
