Our client is a multi-disciplined Health & Safety consultancy based in Essex with operations reaching nationally. They specialise in the construction, built environment and property development sector and pride themselves on client management and how they create long-lasting relationships through second to none service delivery and their ‘connected’ ethos.

**Health & Safety Advisor**

**Up to £45k Basic Salary DOE** | Mon-Fri 9-5 | Flexible Hours | Office-based | Birch, Colchester | Pension | Laptop & Phone Provided | Opportunity for Bonus’ | Growing, exciting, dynamic start-up health & safety consultancy | Service-driven, quality-focussed |

**Duties (to include but are not limited too)**:

- This proactive role will include providing support, advice, and guidance on site to ensure a safe working environment. You will be responsible for implementing safe systems and procedures, carrying out audits and site inspections.
- To provide a diverse client base on all H&S related topics and work closely to assist on legal obligations.
- The role involves travel to client sites/facilities and provide pragmatic, approachable and excellent service.
- Provide clients with administrative support where required such as risk assessments, method statements/safe systems of work, accident investigations, support with pre-qualification questionnaires, accreditation coordination, management system builds and maintenance and support and other ad-hoc administrative tasks.

**Person Specification**:

- A member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH - Tech/Grad and CMIOSH or working toward).
- NEBOSH qualifications essential
- Competence in incident and accident investigation.
- Risk assessment and method statement creation.
- Ability to support clients with PQQ’s and tenders.
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in H&S, preferably in Construction.
- Strong understanding and up to date knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, guidance and best practice.
- Full UK driving license.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with various members of the team and clientele.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to prepare formal written reports and publications, develop and maintain H&S management systems.
