Irwin & Colton has been engaged on an exciting new opportunity with a very well-established and unique charity who are looking to bring onboard a new Health and Safety Manager on a 6-month contract basis. This role will be supporting the Head of Health and Safety and will be responsible for a number of key projects across their portfolio of properties.

Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will be:
  • Conducting site audits and risk assessments on a range of unique facilities across the business
  • Assess fire risk across the facilities and make suggestions on improvements where necessary
  • Acting as key point of contact to provide safety advise to all professionals within the organisation and taking corrective actions when necessary to mitigate risks
  • Working with a range of stakeholders across the organisation to improve safety culture

Key skills and qualifications that the Health and Safety Manager will have:

  • NEBOSH certificate as a minimum/equivalent qualification and relevant membership of professional body (e.g., Tech IOSH)
  • Relevant Health and Safety experience from facilities, property, construction, and comfortable working autonomously
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations across the UK
  • Any offshore experience would be beneficial (ports, lighthouses, marine, etc.)
