** Job Overview**
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Staff Bank are looking for experienced NHS administrators to work a variety of roles across Imperial Trust.
**Aim of the role**:
- To welcome patients, consultant medical staff and visitors to the department.
- To provide a comprehensive and high-quality administration service to their designated department and have to ability to manage and prioritise their workload, liaising closely with other administration and management staff within the department.
- Provide administrative support to the wider, multidisciplinary team, including Consultants.
- To assist in providing medical staff with an excellent outpatient service in order to maintain and increase existing business and encourage new business.
**General Responsibilities**:
- Use initiative and work without direct supervision, as well as using relevant information technology to facilitate the performance of tasks.
- Participate in annual appraisals and performance reviews. Identify personal development needs.
- Attend training and development as required.
- Help provide cover for the other departmental administrators during busy periods, sickness and annual leave and where there is an imbalance of workload.
- To act as part of the wider multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, nurses, therapists and other clerical and professional staff.
- Understand and adhere to all Trust policies, guidelines and procedures.
- To maintain a neat and tidy personal appearance including the wearing of uniform provided and name badges at all times.
- Support Imperial private healthcare and the Trust in providing the best experience possible for each of our patients.
- To maintain confidentiality in respect of information obtained at all times.

**Qualifications**
- Educated to GSE O level or Grade C and above in English Language and Maths
**Communication Skills**
- Effective communication skills
- Team player
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and enthuse others
**Experience**
**Admin experience**
- Experience in a public healthcare setting or similar.
- Invoicing production experience Customer care
- Basic IT literacy
**Skills/ Abilities**
- Organisational skills/ability to learn.
- Competent in IT systems Excel, Word, & dbase input
- Ability and flexibility to work with staff in a team situation and on own initiative.
- Excellent customer care skills to suit working in a private sector.
- Ability to prioritise work on a daily basis, dealing with conflicting demands.
- Able to work under pressure
- Attention to detail especially in finance.
- Ability to manage difficult situations.
- Able to use and develop a basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Well organised and calm.
