Scunthorpe, United Kingdom North Lincolnshire Council Full time

Join our newly developed Housing Advice & Support Service for exciting opportunities to participate in the delivery of a tenacious approach to build trust and rapport and maximise positive outcomes for some of the most persistent, hard-to-engage individuals with mental health needs and rough sleepers in North Lincolnshire to move away from (and avoid a return to) street homelessness.

We have an exciting opportunity within the service for a Mental Health & Housing Worker to join us on a 24-month fixed term contract.

This is a pivotal role to plan, provide and evaluate a range of person-centred interventions to individuals and their support network enabling individuals needs to be met and aspirations achieved. It will involve the offering of early interventions and ongoing support to prevent individuals with multiple and complex needs from returning to rough sleeping following discharge from therapeutic care.

The role will include liaising with relevant statutory, voluntary organisations and private landlords and support individuals with ongoing mental health and complex needs to access and maintain suitable housing.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a motivated person with excellent communication skills who can manage their time effectively and prioritise their workload. You should be able to creatively support individuals and their support network to arrange and implement support that is flexible, responsive to need and person-centred.

For an informal discussion please contact: Sarah Swanson on 07867002502 ().
