Our client is a successful business in Stoke on Trent who is looking for an experienced General Office Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small and friendly team.
**Job Description**:

- The General Office Assistant will ensure that orders have been entered on the inhouse system correctly
- Ensure the stock report is kept up to date
- The General Office Assistant will be liaising with different departments to ensure orders are moving smoothly through the system and are on schedule to be despatched
- Ensuring the telephone is answered quickly and in a professional manner
- As the General Office Assistant they will be producing delivery notes
- Liaising with various transport companies to ensure delivery dates are met
- Other office duties where applicable
- Knowledge of dispatch/shipping procedures would be beneficial
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent standard of numeracy and literacy
- A hands-on person with a "can-do" attitude to work
- Excellent organisational skills including prioritising and multi-tasking
- Able to work to deadlines and to work under pressure
- Good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Professional telephone manner
- Competent in Microsoft Office packages, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
This role is easily accessible from Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Stone, Crewe.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

**Salary**: £18,000 - £21,000 per annum DOE
