An opportunity within NHS 111 has become available for a Senior Clinical Advisor based within the centre within Ty Elwy

NHS 111 Wales is a Health Advice and Information Service available 24 hours a day, every day. The service helps you get the right information at the right time and in the right place. The service acts as a vital link between the community and health care provision and is an important and integral part of the overall package of health care provided by the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust.

With the relevant management experience, you will dynamically lead a team of Clinical Advisors (Nurses and Paramedics) to deliver high quality care for NHS 111 service users on a 24/7 rotational shift pattern. Reporting to the Clinical Manager in North Wales, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the clinical team to ensure that ever-improving levels of performance and quality standards are met. You will have recent experience as Band 6 nurse/ paramedic or above with the ability to effectively manage day to day operational, clinical and professional issues within a telephone triage setting.

You must have excellent organisational and leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levels, problem solve under pressure and be flexible and adaptable. With the ability to inspire others, you will also demonstrate you are forward thinking, imaginative and have a collaborative approach to your work.

A comprehensive induction program will be offered depending on experience, mainly within office hours and will include some travel to Bangor site.

As part of operational duties when acting as Operational manager there will be an expectancy to work from Ty Elwy during these shifts.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
