- **About this opportunity**
- We are looking to recruit a case management officer based in the People Case Management Team, focusing primarily on empty homes
- although there may be a requirement to work across case management within the Housing Team.
- You will respond to and seek to resolve straightforward service requests from internal and external customers using technical knowledge, business rules, statutory guidance, systems and following workflows in place. You will work closely with relevant teams in contributing to improve housing standards, in order to bring empty properties back into use.
- **Some of the main duties of the role include**:

- Investigation into reports of empty homes or complaints from members of the public, Council Members, other departments and organisations in accordance with policies and procedures, whilst ensuring high standards of customer care.
- To liaise with other departments regarding potential enforcement action.
- Identifying and working with owners to bring empty homes back into use, using excellent communication skills.
- Proactively contact empty home owners within the district, maintaining accurate and up to date records and effectively organising workload upon return of information.
- Develop initiatives and work closely with partner organisations in targeting long term empty properties.
- Taking ownership of all cases and only escalating when necessary.
- Collating and analysing statistical data and reporting results regarding empty homes interventions.
