About the Role

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Safety Case Developer to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Barrow and will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide input to the Principal Engineering Manager (Site Safety Case) on the production of effective safety cases through the application of appropriate analytical methods and development of the documentation structure.
  • Be responsible for the provision of authoritative advice, guidance, mentoring, and coaching of safety case specialists to develop and maintain an effective safety case capability.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on the development of an appropriate safety case structure, development processes, and associated analytical methods.
  • Ensure that the Site Safety Case Team undertakes all activities in a manner consistent with Company Policy, Business Processes, and the Quality Assurance programme.
  • Act as a point of contact with internal and external safety and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Degree in a STEM subject (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive knowledge of the techniques and methodology used in the development of safety cases that meet relevant good practice.
