Nuclear Safety Case Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Case Developer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Site Safety Case team, you will play a critical role in the development of effective safety cases for our nuclear projects.
Key Responsibilities- Provide authoritative guidance on the development of safety case structures, development processes, and associated analytical methods.
- Develop and maintain an effective safety case capability, providing authoritative advice, guidance, mentoring, and coaching to safety case specialists.
- Act as a senior SME for safety case development, ensuring that the Site Safety Case Team undertakes all activities in a manner consistent with Company Policy, Business Processes, and the Quality Assurance programme.
- Represent the company at internal and external meetings associated with safety and regulation of nuclear sites.
- Degree in a STEM subject (or equivalent experience).
- Extensive knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in the development of safety cases that meet relevant good practice.
- UK nuclear legislation, nuclear industry, site licensing, authorisation, and environmental permitting, and associated industry guidance.
