**The Company**:
An established housing association in the Shropshire, providing a variety of supported housing services to adults and young people across the region. This organisation are well-respected by service-users, local authorities and employees alike, with high satisfactionrates from all sides and frequent social engagement arrangements across local communities.
**The Role**:

- The role is that of a Deputy Supported Housing Manager. The service in question is based in south Shropshire.
- This is a full-time role; 35 hours per week with only 2 Saturdays per month being required for work, the rest of your shifts only being conducted during weekdays during the remaining 5-day week.
- Shift times range from 9AM-5PM, 10AM-6PM or 2PM-10PM, with an equal amount being allocated throughout the working month.
- The status of this position is a temporary contract to be considered for extension.

**The Responsibilities**:

- Deputy Manager's work within the internal team to maintain high quality support service outcomes for service-users within the supported living service.
- Offer targeted housing-related support to eligible individuals to promote their independence, supporting them into wider community integration.
- Be responsible for supporting the team with suitable coaching methods and providing feedback on performance.
- Deputy Managers will deputise in the absence of the service manager.

**Required Skills**:

- Deputy Manager’s _must_ have previous supervisory experience, such as that of a Support Coordinator or a Shift Leader.
- _E_xperience in supporting clients / service-users’ is _essential_.
- Proactive and able to use their own initiative to manage a caseload and supervise internal employees’ performance.
- The ability to support others in respect of housing requirements; tenancy sustainment, income management etc.
- Having worked with young people or have a strong understanding of safeguarding policies in respect of children and young adults.
- Appropriate understanding and passion for relevant social and cultural issues.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Relevant training to housing or health and social care.
- Full UK driving license or accessible location to accommodate flexible shift times.
- Understanding of issues facing young people on a national scale.
